| I am happy you´ve found this website about my documentary series “The last in his trade” even from abroad.
If you are an admirer of old craftsmanship maybe you even know an old master craftsman or -woman, whose craft, endangered to die out, inspires you and who deserves a cinematic memorial. If so, please contact me by e-mail and I will look into it.
Of course I am also pleased if you are interested in my films and would maybe even like to order one. They are all documentaries which have been developed for TV. However, online sales are also important for the continuation of the series.
Unfortunately the films are only available in German. As we have tried to capture all the important procedures in detail and at length, nearly all scenes will be comprehensible for the spectator, who doesn´t understand the accompanying commentary, merely by watching.
Thus it appears as if you were watching live as the steam boat machinist from Dresden steers his 150 year-old ship on the river “Elbe”, as a passement weaver makes edgings and lace for the Munich castle “Schloss Nymphenburg” once more or as a builder of wind-catchers in the desert of Yazd brings up the walls of his clay-tower.
Look through my website unhurriedly. Maybe you will find information precisely about the craft you have been interested in for a long time.

p.s. I am always interested in cooperations with filmmaking colleagues who also work on the issue “old, traditional craftsmanship” as well as with TV editors interested in the issue or even in my films. Contact me at info@ruediger-lorenz-filmproduktion.de
